Are You Entitled Or Worthy?
(By Staci Backauskas) When I was a kid, I remember a friend of my brother’s getting diagnosed with Osgood-Schlatter disease. His bones were growing too fast for his body and it caused excruciating pain in his knees. Recently, the growth I’ve experienced feels too big for my heart, like Osgood-Schlatter of the soul. When my girlfriend called me selfish for always driving 20 miles to pick her up so we could spend time together, my default was to defend myself. I was being kind, caring, considerate. Didn’t I lend her my car on Saturdays to do her errands? Selfish? What in the world was she talking about? ”You wanted me where you wanted me, Staci,” she said. “If I wanted to be there, I know how to take the bus.”(click on the link to read full article: http://wisdomalacarte.net/blog/are-you-entitled-or-worthy/2010/07/)

Those are just facts and figures, they are not the ideas, thoughts, hopes and dreams that create the unique person that is the one and only YOU. What makes your heart soar? What disappoints you? What gives you energy? What do you wish you could improve? (click on the link to read full article: http://wisdomalacarte.net/blog/be-who-you-are-staying-true-to-yourself/2010/06/)

(By Kim K Carter) "If you find yourself struggling with issues of self-esteem, you are not alone. Some statistics claim that 85% of the population struggles with low self-esteem at some point in their lives. That is an astounding majority of people!" Turning Change To Your Advantage
(By Rich Talbot) "No business can expect to be static and prosper for long; all need to grow and develop. Sometimes the change might be a deliberate and scheduled process – expansion or restructuring of the business; a merger or takeover; a new direction or policy; a significant personnel change pe...rhaps." Sleepwalking Through Your Life? Here’s How Mindfulness Can Help
By Gerard O’Donovan
Have you ever sat down to watch TV with a bowl of popcorn on your lap, then suddenly realized twenty minutes later the bowl was empty? Have you ever driven somewhere and arrived safely, only to realize you didn’t really remember the trip?
These kinds of experiences happen to everyone. Today, many of us refer to this mindless activity as “being on autopilot”. Many daily habits can be completed without our full attention. It seems our minds are constantly running ahead to the next activity to be completed, the next phone call, or meeting, or place we need to be.
